This fully hidden HYTRONIK sensor detect the motion of an object at a certain speed and give an output signal to archieve the desired function, f.i. the controll of a lighting fixture.
The HYTRONIK Doppler sensors are tailor made for the HYTRONIK dimmable fluorescent lighting ballasts. The output wires of HYTRONIK Doppler sensors can be up to 2 kilometer long without function loss, voltage drop and EMC interference.
The combination of the HYTRONIK high frequency ballasts and HYTRONIK Doppler sensors forms an ideal solution for every small and large lighting installation.
It is possible that one or more HYTRONIK sensors controll a lighting installation who is divided over 3 power lines (L1, L2 and L3) as long as all HYTRONIK sensors have the same power line (L1) and neutral (N) as power supply.
The maximum Ohmic switchable load for the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor is 1000 W (f.i. incandescent bulbs) or Inductive 400 W (fluorescent lamps).
This load could be bulbs inside the lamp and also additional / external lamps. However, when the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor is used together with the special HYTRONIK dipswitch ballasts, the load is nearly unlimited.
Mechanics of the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor:
Casing of the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor: The HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor is provided as a compact PC box. The size of the casing is approx. 98 x 51 x 26 mm including the mounting lips.
Mounting of the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor: If the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor is mounted in the luminaire, please consider the following points:
The HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor must be mounted flat on the base plate of the luminaire, providing a detection field rectangular to the base plate.
Any metal parts in front or beside the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor can change the detection field in size and shape.
The HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor must not be mounted close to the light bulb (maximum operating temperature is 70°C).
The best position for the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor is below the bulb.
Vibrations of the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor must be avoided.
No light tight parts must shade the daylight sensor of the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor. A fiber optic is included to allow the end users to stretch the fiber optic outside the luminaire, to the position and direction desired.
Enclosed in our special designed IP54 housing, the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor is completely protected against any harmful deposits of dust and water splashing from any direction, which makes it possible for outdoor use. The cover of this IP54 box is on demand made of clear or light tight Poly-Carbonate (PC)
Note: snow, storm and falling leaves do not activate the sensor.
Tips for installation of the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor:
1. When the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor is mounted in a luminaire, or other compartment where the surrounding is very dark, it is recommended to insert the fiber optic (included in the package) in the HYTRONIK Doppler light sensor hole, to direct the outside light into the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor when the detection of outside light is needed.
2. If the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor is activated / interfered by motion of the people or moving object next door, please reduce the sensitivity, or adjust the direction of the HYTRONIK Doppler motion sensor.
3. The detection angle and distance is closely related to sensitivity. Fine-tune the sensitivity switch program to fit your specific application.
